The short term for SMT chip processing is that capacitors or resistors on electronic products are equipped with specialized machines, which are welded to make them more sturdy and less prone to falling off.
Just like the high-tech products we often use now, such as computers and smartphones. Their internal motherboards are closely arranged with tiny capacitive resistors, which are posted through chip processing skills. The capacitance and resistance of highly skilled chip processing are faster than those of skilled chip processing, and are less prone to errors.
SMT chip processing has certain requirements for environment, humidity, and temperature. At the same time, in order to ensure the quality of electronic components, the processing quantity can be completed in advance. There are the following requirements for the working environment:
(1) Temperature requirements. The optimal perennial temperature for the factory building is 23 ± 3 ℃, and should not exceed the limit temperature of 15 ℃~35 ℃.
(2) Humidity requirements, the humidity in the SMT processing workshop has a significant impact on product quality. The higher the environmental humidity, the more susceptible electronic components are to moisture, which will affect conductivity. At the same time, welding is not smooth and the humidity is too low. When the workshop air is dry, static electricity will be generated. Therefore, when entering the SMT mounting and processing workshop, processing personnel also need to wear anti-static clothing. Under normal circumstances, the workshop requires a stable humidity of 45% to 70% RH.
(3) The cleanliness requirement is to ensure that there are no odors and dust in the workshop, adhere to indoor cleanliness, and no corrosive substances, which seriously affect the reliability of capacitor resistors, improve the repair rate of SMT equipment, improve equipment reliability, and reduce production progress. The optimal cleanliness of the workshop is approximately BGJ73-84.
(4) The stability of the power supply is required. In order to avoid equipment defects during the SMT process and affect the quality and progress of processing, it is necessary to add a regulator to the power supply to ensure its stability.
